Unlock Your Potential

In an inclusive environment unlike the typical tech classroom, we upend traditional methods of teaching code, building networks, and defining ‘success.’ And we never lose sight of our larger ambition: a tech industry evolved; its coders more diverse and compassionate; and an equitable, representative world wide web.

Fully Equipped To Enter #Codemode

To ensure our students have everything they need to focus purely on learning and their career transition, we provide our students with a laptop for the duration of the cohort. This device is fully loaded with all the necessary software and tools you will need to start coding and building full-stack web applications from the start.

Collaboration is in Our Source Code

Being a successful developer requires many other skills beyond understanding programming languages. Our classroom is designed to help you work and collaborate with your classmates, just as if you were on a professional development team. You will ‘drive’ and ‘navigate’ with partners during Pair Programming, build teamwork and project management skills during your Capstone project, and understand how to comment code so others can pick up where you left off.

An Environment For Diverse Learning Styles

Everybody learns differently. That’s why the LEARN method is designed to activate all of your senses and expose you to different learning styles. You’ll hear from guest speakers and industry professionals, observe and participate in group discussions, and do multiple coding projects throughout your course work.

I am a software engineer and the founder multiple software companies in San Diego. After consistently taking LEARN interns, I can honestly say LEARN is one of the BEST places to learn programming in San Diego. They set you up with the right software tools and practices that took me YEARS to learn on my own. I seriously know computer science graduate students that don't know the stuff they are teaching. ANNNND... University takes 4 years + ~$50-200k. Bootcamp takes 4-6months + ~$10k. Both set you up to take a junior dev job where you can make >= $65k a…read more

My time at LEARN Academy was one of the best experiences of my life honestly. I came into it expecting to be good. But it ended up being great! I knew it would be challenging, which it was. I knew it would be hard at times, and it was. And I knew it would be a lot to take in, in such a small amount of time, and it was. LEARN Academy and their instructors teach the content in way that makes it stick in your head. It is fast paced but as long as you are willing to put…read more

Junior Engineer at Q-Centrix

I attended LEARN academy from July 2016 to November 2016. I looked into the various bootcamps here in San Diego and the internship that is part of the curriculum set LEARN apart from other bootcamps. I can't say enough about how awesome my experience was. It was very challenging, but at the same time it was manageable.
