Student Spotlight: Rob Cronk

You know what Time it is… our weekly Student Spotlight. This week, we’re chatting with Rob Cronk.

What prompted your decision to pursue web development & what do you hope to do when you have completed the program?

Mainly not being happy with my current career, development in general was always something i enjoyed doing. I think i already found what I want to do, in my internship I got offered a job at a start up in downtown San Diego, finding a job with a culture fit was a high priority to me and they definitely fit that criteria.

What did you do professionally before learn?

So before learn I worked at grocery store in northern California for 11 years. I was there since I was 18 and was never really happy.

What is something that was a pleasant surprise after starting class?

The camaraderie in our cohort, we all became really close really fast.

Tell us one thing you would like to do in your lifetime (AKA something from your bucket list!)

Travel the world!!! one of our guest speakers at learn talked about traveling the world while he did web development remotely, that really inspired me to set that as one of my life goals.

What’s your favorite beer?

Being at learn my favorite beer was always whatever the free beer on tap was in the kitchen, but right now its everything stone!! Beer on tap.
