Get To Know Us! Chelsea Kaufman
Today, we get to learn more about another co-founder and our day to day leader, Chelsea Kaufman! Her background in business & education makes her the perfect person to stand at our helm. She has also been involved in almost every aspect of theatre, so she doesn’t mind when we come up with creative ideas!

What is your favorite element of working at LEARN? The people. We have an amazing group of alumni and current students who never cease to amaze me with their support of each other and the community around them. Also, the staff at LEARN is basically the coolest group of people to work with, and I find myself so lucky to be surrounded with such great talents!
What brought you to LEARN? Building a community of like minded people passionate about web development, and education.
What is your favorite meal of the day, and why? Coffee: no explanation necessary :)
Which living person do you most admire? In my professional life: Michael Kaiser. He inspired me very early on in my career and taught me a lot about business and community building. In my personal life: Rob. He inspires me every day. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to stand by my side.
If you could attend the concert of any musician/band (living or dead), who would it be? Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra
What is your favorite thing about working in tech? It’s a career that consists of lifelong learning! I love that it is growing and changing. I love how it keeps me on my toes, which is fun and exciting!
What do you wish you’d known ten years ago about being a programmer/working in tech? We all have a voice. Everyone comes from different backgrounds and different experiences, so our voices, our opinions, our thoughts are all valuable. Just because you might not be the smartest, most experienced person in the room doesn’t mean that you aren’t of value!
